The dogs love swimming and playing bumper fetch in our many acre pond.
My husband and I have a small hobby kennel in Grass Valley, California. I have shown and bred purebred dogs for 25 years. I started in English Springer Spaniels, one being Ch. deckhands Serenity “Holly”.
I have competed successfully in conformation, field, and obedience. I have produced Specialty Winners and High in Trial Obedience dogs as well as Hunting Companions.
I bought my first labrador, Marit’s Trillium Ca Bombshell, CD in 1998 from Lisa DeSilva. Callie was such a kind soul and taught me much about what a labrador should be. She produced my first Bred By Exhibitor Champion, Ch Trillium’s Beyond Belief (Marlo), CDX, JH. Calie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in June of 2011.
Marlo is always trying to please you and make you laugh. She will do anything for a cookie. A good temperament is a must here at Trillium and all our dogs love people, kids and other animals.
As a Breeder of Merit with the AKC, I believe in producing puppies with a sound mind and body. I use carefully selected stud dogs and breed for temperament, soundness and conformation. Before breeding any of my dogs they must be tested for OFA Hips, Elbows, Doppler Hearts, PRA Eye and Cerf testing. Many of our dogs have tested Excellent for hips.
All puppies that are sold as pets and companions leave here with a limited registration, meaning you can show in all AKC events excluding conformation and you cannot use the puppy for breeding purposes. All of our pups are raised in the house with tender loving care. As soon as they can travel, many go to work with me and become very socialized.
I am very proud of the puppies I have produced which live with great families and make wonderful companions for people of all ages.
